Full-Time Marketing Coordinator Opportunity

 

Position Purpose: 

HALCON Marketing Solutions is looking for a driven, organized, positive, and hard-working candidate to support our team of strategists and clients. The perfect candidate is self-motivated but willing and eager to learn from others. 

Our newest team member will join a group of extremely talented, kind, FUN, team-oriented, and hard-working brand and marketing strategists. We are a team focused on building solid relationships, internally and externally, built on trust and collaboration.

The best marketing coordinator is tech and social media savvy, an excellent communicator, a strong writer, and a researcher who is very solutions-oriented, and eager to offer suggestions on how to improve company and client projects. The ideal candidate is someone who cares about the team and makes a difference. They must bring a healthy mix of skill and initiative to the company and excitement and vigor at the idea that they will be an integral part in helping HALCON grow and serve small businesses with integrity and heart. 

While the candidate will need the flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of our clients and projects, the immediate scope of this role includes the following duties:

 

  • Assist marketing managers and strategists on a variety of client projects

  • Ensure company website is updated regularly with new information while improving search engine

  • Manage and monitor social media strategy

  • Design and create reports for client distribution

  • Track metrics for client campaigns

  • Prepare usable marketing collateral including powerpoints, leave-behinds, e-blasts, advertising, collateral, and other marketing assets

  • Create pitch decks and proposals

  • Write blogs, Google posts, social media content, email marketing campaigns

  • Keep track of industry trends

  • Conduct market research, surveys, and more

  • Continue to develop knowledge and skills of the industry

  • Develop relationships with local like-minded businesses to create meaningful partnerships

  • Interact and build relationships with the community to generate brand awareness and engagement

  • Assist with creating and updating marketing and social media calendars

  • Post content per the client contract using tools like Hootesuite, Later, Loomly or Planoly to plan forward-looking posts 

  • Manage social media presence

  • Run organic social media accounts for clients

  • Collect and create content, draft content calendars and interact with community on social platforms to drive followers and engagement

  • Assist with event planning and experiential marketing initiatives by contacting vendors and ensuring projects remain on schedule

  • Graphic design on Canva using pre-designed templates, strategy, and content creation

  • Project and timeline management 

  • The candidate will need to be physically located near St. Louis

  • 40 hours per week position

Essential Skills and Behaviors Required for the Role: 

 

  • Proven written communication skills, and a passion for writing both short- and long-copy 

  • Excellent verbal communications skills 

  • A love for efficiency and process! 

  • An interest in branding marketing, communications, social media, or reputation management

  • Familiarity with essential social media tools (e.g., Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook) and with email marketing tools (i.e. Mailchimp and Flodesk) 

  • Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Workspace

  • An ability to consistently demonstrate our values of insight, hard work, and effectiveness in approach to work 

  • An entrepreneurial attitude 

  • Solutions-oriented is a MUST 

  • Self-starter 

  • Takes initiative 

  • Genuinely cares about clients and the quality of marketing and branding provided

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field

  • 1-3+ years of experience in Marketing, Public Relations or related field
